Alexandra Rivera
Council President
Alexandra has served the council for over 15 years and is dedicated to growing Scouting opportunities for every young person in our communities.
Serving youth and families across the region for over 80 years.
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
At Westfield Canyon Council, we bring that mission to life every day — through weekend campouts, merit badge programmes, community service, and high-adventure expeditions that challenge young people to grow.
Scout Oath
On my honour I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Every Scout strives to embody these twelve points of the Scout Law in their daily life.
Westfield Canyon Council was chartered to serve the growing communities of the region, starting with just four troops and 60 Scouts.
The council acquired 400 acres in the Sierra foothills, establishing Camp Ridgeline — which remains the heart of our outdoor programme today.
Following the BSA's national rollout, the council established its first Venturing crews, opening Scouting to older teens and young adults.
Young women across the council formed new troops, expanding our reach and welcoming a new generation of Eagle Scout candidates.
With over 5,000 registered youth, 400 units, and a dedicated volunteer corps, we continue to grow and serve our community every day.
Scouting is powered by volunteers and professional staff who share a passion for youth development.
