Our Programmes
Scouting has a home for every young person — from first adventures to high-adventure leadership.
The Boy Scouts of America offers distinct programmes designed for different age groups and interests. Each programme builds upon the last, giving youth a continuous journey of growth from childhood through young adulthood. Westfield Canyon Council supports all four national programmes below.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find a Scout unit near me?
Use the BSA's unit finder at BeAScout.org or contact our council office and we'll help match your family with a unit in your area.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes — there is an annual BSA membership fee, and most units also charge local dues to cover programme costs. Scholarship assistance is available; contact us to learn more.
Can my daughter join Scouts BSA?
Yes! Since 2019, girls have been able to join Scouts BSA troops and earn the Eagle Scout Award. Girls and boys participate in separate, single-gender troops within the same units.
How can adults get involved?
Adult volunteers are the backbone of Scouting. Whether you want to be a Scoutmaster, den leader, merit badge counsellor, or committee member, we have a role for you. All volunteers complete a Youth Protection training course before working with Scouts.
